CVN Spokesperson Kyle White addressed more than 500 military and community leaders at the annual Easter Seals Serving DC|MD|VA Advocacy Awards in Washington D.C. on April 25.
The Medal of Honor recipient shared his personal experiences with mental health, transition, and some lighter moments from the evening. The highlight was Kyle’s announcement of our plans to open a Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic with Easter Seals in the coming months. White spoke of the hesitancy some veterans still show toward receiving care during their transitions home.
“Too many veterans are not getting help. And, hundreds of thousands more veterans are on their way back home,” White said. “Veterans who showed courage under fire are reluctant to ask for the help they need.”
