CVN Day of Giving & Reflection

Earlier this summer, CVN held a Day of Giving and Reflection. Staff from across the network used the day as an opportunity to reflect, learn and give back in meaningful ways within their local community. Take a look at some of the day’s highlights below!


San Diego, CA
Staff visited the San Diego Zoo to learn about the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance program. They received a tour of the zoo and discussed how they could partner with this program that integrates wildlife health and care, science, and education to develop sustainable conservation solutions.


Lakewood, WA
Staff sent the day volunteering – picking up litter and helping keep the Ward Lake in Lakewood, WA clean.


Los Angeles, CA
Staff toured the Battleship USS Iowa in San Pedro. There, they learned about the history of the ship from veterans who served on it.


Oceanside, CA
Staff prepared a delicious BBQ dinner for and met with various military family members residing at the Fisher House.


Colorado Springs, CO
Staff spent the day working with Habitat for Humanity, building homes in Pikes Peak.


Hinesville, GA
Clinic staff collected supplies and assembled toiletry kits for Tri-County Protective Agency, an emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence in Liberty County.


Clarksville, TN
Staff spent the day volunteering at Mana Cafe Ministries providing meals to the homeless and less fortunate.
