The Cohen Veterans Network is a key piece of Steven A. Cohen’s long-term commitment to help veterans and their families. Mr. Cohen’s work with veterans began in part because of a personal connection – his son served in the United States Marine Corps.
2009
Cohen's son joins the United States Marine Corps.
2010
Cohen’s son is deployed to Afghanistan from August 2010 to February 2011.
2011
Cohen, a member of the Robin Hood Foundation board, begins working on the organization’s new veteran’s initiatives.
2012
Cohen teams with Admiral Michael Mullen (Ret.) to co-chair the Robin Hood Foundation’s Veterans Advisory Board.
2013
The Robin Hood Foundation’s Veterans Advisory Board raises $13 million in new funding to help veterans and their families.
2013
The Cohen's family foundation takes over the underwriting of the Military Family Clinic at NYU Langone.
2013
Cohen’s family foundation gives the largest individual single private gift in the nation to fund PTS research at NYU Langone.
2015
Cohen launches Cohen Veterans Bioscience to accelerate the research for and bring to market a diagnostic test for post-traumatic stress.
2016
Cohen launches Cohen Veterans Network and announces the first four Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic locations.
2017
Cohen Veterans Network adds three more clinics to close the year with seven locations.
2018
Cohen Veterans Network reaches 10 clinics and nearly 9,000 clients served by the end of 2018.
2019
CVN opened in Tacoma, Virginia Beach, Tampa and San Diego to reach 14 clinics by the end of 2019.
2020
The network is welcoming five new Cohen Clinics this year including Jacksonville, FL, Anchorage, AK, Honolulu, HI, Jacksonville, NC and Lawton, OK for a total of 19 locations.
