The Clinician will provide evidence-based treatment to veterans, particularly those who served in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and their families in adherence to CVN’s clinical model. The Clinician will have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and should be skilled at offering treatment in a measurement-based, time-limited treatment environment. The Clinician must have a background and training in utilizing evidence-based interventions in the assessment and treatment of mood disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and adjustment disorders. Qualified candidates will be proficient in providing individual, couples, and family therapy, with an emphasis on delivering evidence-based care. Certification or documented proficiency in one or more in one or more of the following evidence-based practices is required at time of hire or within a year of employment: PE, CBT, and CPT. The Clinician will be a full-time employee and report directly to the Lead Clinician.

The Intake Coordinator provides support to the Cohen Clinic as the first contact for services. He/She will manage all intake calls and appointments, administer appropriate paperwork and psychometric screeners, and will schedule with appropriate clinical staff for biopsychosocial assessments. He/She will conduct phone and face to face screenings and intakes on-site and off-site for veterans and their families. The Intake Coordinator will work with a multi-disciplinary team for case assignments, consultations and care coordination.

The Case Manager is part of a multidisciplinary clinical team who serves as the bridge between clinical services and essential community resources. The Case Manager facilitates direct referrals for housing, employment, healthcare, legal, educational, peer-support and all other essential community-based needs for clinic clients. The Case Manager manages referral partnerships by continuous engagement post- referral, ensuring the provision of quality care. The Case Manager assists the clinical team in understanding resources and needs within the clients’ community. The Case Manager is estimated to support ~250 patients/year or 70 patients at a time (based on expected utilization levels).

As Clinic Director, you will: Oversee all clinical operations (e.g. clinical care, staffing, training, budget, measurement and evaluation). Ensure clinical staff are aware of, and following, evidence-based practice guidelines throughout treatment. Provide overall clinical supervision for the Cohen Clinic staff, including weekly clinical supervision for therapists, crisis management support as needed, and management of a clinical training program in evidence-based treatment modalities. Manage intake process for new patients, including supporting intake workers as needed and leading weekly disposition meetings for the clinical team to assign and present cases. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including diverse interest groups, advocacy groups and other governmental organizations. Ensure the clinic and its staff actively communicate with the CVN Central Office, participate in CVN meetings/events/activities, and contribute to the overall network. Through leadership, develop and foster a culture of collaboration, peer consultation, and commitment to ongoing education and professional improvement. On a continuous basis, interpret and evaluate staff reports; know laws, regulations and codes; observe performance and evaluate staff; problem solve clinic related issues; remember various rules; and explain and interpret policy.

The Practice Manager reports to the Clinic Director. The Practice Manager’s primary roles include providing oversight to all clinic, administrative and fiscal operations, The Practice Manager works collaboratively with the Clinic Director to establish procedures and protocols that support the delivery of quality and effective services to Military Veterans and their families. The Practice Manager has a role in designing clinic office administration, supporting clinical staff, community outreach, and case management as needed as well as supervising the office assistant. The Lead Clinician serves at the Evidence Based Practice Champion and primary clinical leader on an interdisciplinary team. Focused on providing a compassionate, individually tailored and holistic approach to outpatient mental health treatment for veterans and their family members the lead clinician must be creative and enjoy working in an, entrepreneurial-like environment that is mission-focused, community oriented and results-driven. The Lead Clinician will provide evidence-based treatment to veterans and their families in adherence to CVN clinical model. In addition to direct clinical care, the Lead Clinician is responsible for supporting the delivery of quality clinical services through the provision of supervision, case consultation, and mentoring to other clinicians in cognitive behavioral therapy and other time-limited, manualized interventions. As the clinical and administrative leader, the Clinic Director is responsible for implementing and managing adherence to the CVN evidenced-based clinical model and for driving achievement of performance targets, customer service, budget and quality assurance goals. The Clinic Director has the lead role in developing a positive clinic culture that promotes staff wellness and professional development, quality client experiences and cross–sector engagement with the local community. The Clinic Director operates among the leadership team at the Up Center and also interfaces regularly with other clinic partners across CVN as well as with the CVN Central Office.

Appointed in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado, this faculty position will provide therapeutic evaluation and treatment of patients with behavioral, emotional and mental disorders at the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at the University of Colorado. Position duties include providing clinical care, training and supervision of behavioral health trainees, working with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care, providing case management as needed, and participating in quality improvement initiatives and research projects.
