How Cohen Veterans Network is Making a Difference for Veterans, Service Members and Their Families

Commitment. Innovation. Collaboration. Those are just a few words that describe 2022 at Cohen Veterans Network. From our rapidly expanding clinic locations to our focus on clinical trainings, CVN is dedicated to serving our clients and advancing the field of mental health.

But in this last year, just how has CVN made a difference for veterans, service members and military families? Our 2022 Impact Report highlights our efforts, including:

  • Reaching More Clients – CVN continues to fulfill its promise to provide high-quality, accessible mental health care to veterans and service members, as well as the entire military family, including parents, siblings, spouses or partners, children, caregivers, and others in-person and via CVN Telehealth. Since our inception through 2022, CVN served 49,000 clients, provided over 421,000 clinical sessions, and delivered over 73,000 telehealth sessions.
  • Advancing the Field – In 2022, CVN took an important step in its commitment to advancing the field of mental health by launching the Cohen Veterans Network Institute for Quality (CVN-IQ). The institute uses research, innovation, and collaboration with other military and veteran service agencies, mental health industry leaders and academic partners to improve treatment outcomes for veterans, service members and their families while enhancing their quality of life.
  • Spotlight on Suicide Prevention – Throughout 2022, our Cohen Clinics engaged in numerous suicide prevention efforts and worked to educate, equip, and empower individuals with information on this critically important topic. Efforts included our clinic in Hawaii participating in the Governor’s Challenge to help develop a screening tool to identify suicide risk, our clinic in Anchorage, AK conducting suicide prevention events throughout the year both on post and in the community, and our clinic in Addison, TX hosting Mental Health First Aid trainings to help individuals support those experiencing signs of a mental health crisis.

In a short time, CVN has had a big impact on our clients and the communities we serve – and we’re just getting started.
