Building Stronger Systems of Care
for Veterans & Military Families
Veterans, service members, and military families deserve timely access to high-quality, evidence-based mental health care, and strong public-private partnerships are essential to making that possible. Cohen Veterans Network collaborates with government partners and agencies at all levels across the country to help expand access to care, reduce barriers to treatment, and strengthen systems of support for military-connected populations. Together, these partnerships help states, counties, and municipalities improve flexibility, increase responsiveness, and deliver critical mental health services to veterans and military families where and when they are needed most.

How CVN Approaches Partnerships
CVN’s partnerships are designed to strengthen entire systems of care. Recognizing that every community is different, CVN works with partners to develop flexible approaches that reflect local needs and priorities while leveraging its proven model of care. By combining resources and expertise, these collaborations help communities build sustainable solutions that expand access to high-quality mental health care and strengthen support for military-connected populations.
Why Public-Private Partnerships Matter
Military families face unique barriers to high-quality mental health care. Many live in rural or underserved communities with limited access to specialty behavioral health services, while frequent moves, deployments, and military transitions can disrupt continuity of care. At the same time, the nationwide shortage of mental health professionals makes it difficult to meet growing demand. Public-private partnerships help address these challenges by combining resources, expertise, and community connections, enabling faster, more flexible solutions where and when military families need it.
What Makes CVN’s Partnerships Different?
CVN partnerships expand access to mental health care for veterans and military families through an established clinical model backed by experienced providers, existing infrastructure, consistent quality standards, and measurable outcomes. Rather than building new systems from the ground up, partners can leverage a proven framework while tailoring services to meet the needs of their military-connected communities. Whether supporting an existing Cohen Clinic or exploring opportunities to establish one, these collaborations help scale proven solutions, foster innovation, and accelerate the delivery of care.
